WEATHER UPDATE!!!
Due to the threat of severe weather this weekend and our desire to ensure a positive experience for all Scouts, leadership has decided to cancel the camping portion of this event. We are working to identify another camping opportunity soon and will update you with those details when they are available.

Saturday, January 6th
8:00 AM Start

Location
Sloss Furnaces National Historical Landmark – 20 32nd St N, Birmingham, 35222

Lunch
Hot dogs and chips $1 each, water coolers will be available to fill up water bottles

Project
Remove tree and limb debris
Picking up trash from around the site
Removing old metal from walking paths
Cutting back overgrowth next to walking path
Leaf blowing and removing leaves

What should EVERYONE bring?
Work gloves
Eye protection
Small hand tools (clippers, etc)
Water bottle
Rain gear (just in case)
Trash bags

Needed – Adults with chainsaws and proper protective equipment are encouraged to bring them to
help with tree and limb removal!


Friday night outdoor movie onsite at 5:30 for those Scouts who would like to stay and participate!
