Samurai, which literally means” those who serve”, were a class of warriors in Traditional Japan , active from the 12th century to the 19th century. The exhibition Lethal Beauty, Samurai Weapons and Armor currently on exhibit at the Birmingham Museum until Sept 21 is just Made for a Scouting outing. Lethal Beauty: Samurai Weapons and Armor offers the visitor the opportunity to see actual arms and armor made for use by the Samurai. 63 objects some dating back to the 13th century tell the story of the Samurai class in Japan until its decline in the late 19th century.
