On Saturday, February 24, the Scouts of the Vulcan District turned out for their second day of service at Red Mountain Park. A joint effort of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Crews cleared privet from about six acres next to the dog park. A special “shout out” goes to Troops 86, 320, 76, and 95 who turned out their boys. Also to Packs 776, 357, 321, 320, 96 and 1 boys and parents.

TOTAL MANHOURS WAS 370!! Thanks to everyone who participated. I am looking for an opportunity for next year and would love to hear any suggestions. We have had 3 Vulcan District Days of Service at Red Mountain Park and 1 each at Ruffner Mountain, Lakeshore Trail, Avondale Park, and Oak Mountain.
