January 4 & 25*, 2020

Boy Scouts and Venture Crews. — 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Cub Scouts — 9:30 AM till 1:00 PM
Hot dog lunch will be at 1:00 (with water and hot chocolate) for a cost of $1.00.
Lunch will be served at the cannon.
This year there are two work days. Come to one or both.
Clearing privet and vines in assisting the Sunrise Rotary Club in their effort to spend $1,500,00 in transforming Altamont Park (where the cannon is) into a garden showplace.
Hot dogs and hot chocolate lunch provided for $1.00 per scout
Bring with you:
- Work gloves
- Backpack, pruning or bow saw
- Loping shears
- Hand clippers
- Madock or pick
- PRIVIT PULLER
- Personal water bottle
- Hand axe (one per troop)
- First aid kit (one per troop)
- Rope, 40 to 100 feet (one per troop)
- Sprayer (One per troop filled with Bayer Brush Killer with one bottle of red food color)
This project is in conjunction with the Sunrise Rotary Club and their members will help
Parking is available at the Altamont School parking lot and then shuttle down in one car to Altamont Road. You may park on Altamont 1/2 on the street and 1/2 over the curb. Parking is also available along Cliff road near the junction of 42nd street and walk up the steps at the end of Cliff Road alley.
In case of HEAVY rain or sub freezing weather, all work will take place on the 2nd Sat.
These service hours can be used for past or future Philmont service hours to qualify for the “50 Miler Award”.
