Adult Training KnotsVolunteers are the lifeblood of Scouting. We rely on our adult leaders to support programming, camp, plan, communicate, mentor, teach, and spend countless hours each month just so young men and women can receive the promise of Scouting.

Perhaps it is time to give them a little something in return.

Mark your calendar for the 2015 Vulcan District Adult Leader Recognition banquet:

January 22, 2015
6:30-8:30pm
Trinity United Methodist Church

If you have never attended, this is a special evening to honor our volunteers for their many contributions to Scouting.

In preparation, now is the time to fill out applications for the Scouters in your unit who qualify for adult leader knot awards. The qualifications and nomination forms for the various awards can be found on the Adult Training page of the Vulcan District website.

Awards are available for leaders in all Scouting programs — Venturing, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts.

In addition to the Boy Scout adult leader knots, consider whether any of your leaders qualify for the Vulcan District Award of Merit or the Silver Beaver award. To view the nomination form for the Vulcan District Award of Merit, click here. To view the Silver Beaver nomination form, click here.
