On Sunday, September 24, 2017, Troop 76 of Liberty Crossings United Methodist Church welcomed two new Scouts, Will Wertheimer and Matt Coleman, into the prestigious ranks of Eagle. Both completed unique Eagle Scout projects, providing an important asset to their beneficiary organizations.

Will Wertheimer constructed and hung an information board for The Red Barn, a non-profit Christian horse-riding clinic. They needed a resource board; Will heard about this and set about making one, along with performing other small bits of service, taking a total of four days. In addition to this impactful Eagle project, Will was the youngest in Troop 76 to earn Eagle Scout. He also earned his Bronze, Silver, and Gold Eagle Palms and has the most merit badges in Troop 76 history.

Matt Coleman built a Gaga Ball pit for Liberty Crossings, his home church. The youth group needed something to fill up extra time, so Matt saw this as a perfect opportunity. The whole project took three work days, after which the project was a success. Following this, Matt also earned an Eagle Palm for his Scouting effort.
