The Vulcan District website has a new feature which allows troops, packs and crews to submit stories and photos of their activities and achievements for publication on the VulcanDistrict.com Blog/News page. Leaders, scribes and historians can submit stories about campouts, service projects, high adventure trips, training experiences such as NYLT, NAYLE, Wood Badge or Powder Horn, special achievements such as Eagle Scouts or the William T. Hornady Award, and any other activity or achievement you want to share. The blog can also be used to help promote events in Greater Alabama Council Districts other than Vulcan, for example Advance-O-Ramas or training events. Stories are already being posted and you can check them out on our Blog/News page.
It’s easy to submit your story and photos. Click on the Submit Your Story button on the front page of this website or go straight to the , www.vulcandistrict.com, and click on the Story Submittal page for instructions and a form to download your story. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to share your news, and look forward to seeing your story!
NOTE: The photo above was taken at ScoutFest. How many stories could you tell from your experience at ScoutFest? Your favorite event, first time experience ice skating, the fireworks display, getting your tents to fit into the area you had been allotted. Where you a staffer? Your story could have been about your favorite moments manning your area, positive comments you received from attendees or even about the people who helped you.
We want positive uplifting stories about scouting and the Vulcan District. No one can tell our stories like we can. Don’t forget to send some pictures.
